A string of unusually warm weather has fallen over the land of Highvalley, but for many it comes as a relief after a brutally long winter. In the haze of mid-afternoon, wolves are going about their daily lives when suddenly everyone freezes, unable to make sense of the input from their ears and feet. The ground beneath is shaking and the noise is like extended thunder, except the sky is clear and the noise is coming from below. Is it an earthquake? At first many believe it to be so, but as the sound grows louder and the shakes become stronger, it becomes abundantly clear where the sound is coming

The day was beautiful. The sky a clear, deep, vibrant blue, and for once there seemed to be not a cloud in the sky. Delta Seeker, Vysariel, found himself following the herds through the Woodlands. He paused, sitting down as a sudden itch on his side became unbearable. He folded himself nearly in half and buried his nose in his creamy fur to chew at his itchy skin. The weather had been warm, unbearable for the young male that preferred the cold any day. Winter was harsh, and he did not exactly love winter, but he absolutely loathed summer.
The cream and gold wolf sat up, shaking out his fur which looked unkempt and spikey from the many times he had stopped to scratch an itch. Not that he looked particularly good to start with. Shedding season made his coat look embarrassing as chunks of his winter fur fell out. He did his best to keep himself looking presentable among his betters, but he felt less self-conscious about his scruffy appearance away from the

One of the necessary elements to survive for any organic being. It gave life, it kept one alive, it played by its own rules. It made the grass grow with fed the prey the predators hunted down; it made sure the life kept going. Quilo has witnessed waters gentleness during her late evening walks when the surface was as still as the sky, creating the perfect illusion of two worlds merging together. With other words, water made their home to thrive. It was so easily forgotten their home was a constantly changing place on the much deeper level than just the seasonal change everyone was used to. It was much more than that.
Their home itself, and everything else was like a living being.
 
When it came, it looked as if new mountains were being created right in front of her. The only thing separating them from the ones that were standing there for as long as Quilo could remember was the roar filled with the promise of death. The blue-hued wolf froze there she stood, staring a
