Alyan stood there in silence for a few seconds, as their forehead stayed together. It was a bond that they both shared, one that was not always seen by many of the other wolves of Highvalley. What he was asking for, the very thing that Alyan was partially avoiding because of his dreams, his brother deemed him ready. 

He was just in shock of what was given to him, and part of him was scared of what was to come, but the other part felt ready and willing. “Brother, you think I am worthy of such high esteem, of something so important, something so impactful in Highvalley?” Their foreheads were still together, as he wanted to keep their bond close, but he had to know what his brother thought, of offering him this noble rank.

    “You should be proud, Alyan. Your prowess and vallar in the hunt today put us all to shame,” Rodwen laughed as they stalked up the hill and down the other side. “I cannot say that my son is particularly appreciative, though,” he added playfully, looking over his shoulder to steal a glance at Vladimir and the rest of the hunting party lingering behind them.


    Alyan followed his brother’s eyes, looking back at the other Highvallians. It seemed that Rowden’s words were true, as the other’s emotions seemed to not be pleased. “I just took the opportunity when I saw it.” He playfully nudged his brother’s shoulder, before he went into a thought of his. “Besides, I'm just making up for lost time.”
